Credit union leaders are invited to join the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association for its 74th Annual Convention & Expo, May 1-3, in Pittsburgh. Events will be held at The Westin Convention Center and the adjoining David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
This year’s theme, Bridges To The Future, recognizes the Steel City as the gathering place for the Association’s premier event, where Pennsylvania credit union leaders will expand their horizons in preparing and growing for the future. Pittsburgh, a city with many bridges, is celebrating its 250th anniversary in 2008, bridging its historic past with the present and promising future.
A few new things to look for …
- Bring the Under 35ers. For every two paid conferee registrations, credit unions may register one young professional conferee, under age 35, for free. (Tickets must be purchased for special events.)
- Make hotel reservations online. The Westin Convention Center encourages guests to book their reservations through a special Web site created for the Association’s event. This provides faster booking and immediate confirmation.
- Sign up for Spouse/Guest Tour. A specially-planned event will take spouses and guests on a tour of Pittsburgh’s historic treasures. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
- Enjoy a riverboat cruise for PAC. The Gateway Clipper will set sail Thursday morning for PAC supporters to enjoy a luncheon buffet onboard and a visit to Heinz Field.
The Convention agenda is filled with educational opportunities; social events; and the traditional favorites, such as the Credit Union Expo, Foundation Art Exhibition, and the Youth Ambassador Contest.
